Beers

Every beer has its own glass, in which is poured in one or more rounds, respecting it. The beer is allowed to settle down and yield a compact foam which protects it from the contact with the oxygen, liberating scents and flavors. Every beer is then served wishing the guest to live for many, many years to come…

Kulmbacher Pils

Blond beer, made from neat malted barley with Pilsner’s method, definitely hopped. Very delicate smell and taste. It is the pearl of Kulmbacher brewery.

It can be paired with boiled meat or grilled white meat, with sea food salads or with unseasoned baked fish.

Radler Beer-lemon

This beer’s recipe is credited to Franz Xaver Kugler, gourmet of Munich, who in September  922 invented this recipe for the 3.000 cyclists which visited his tavern.

Fresh taste, with a lighter percentage of alcohol.

Kapuziner Weissbier

Beer with a typical cloudy look, made with a high percentage of corn malt and containing the suspended fermentation  brewer’s yeast.

Can be matched with grilled pork, weisswurst or lightly seasoned medium beef.

Heller Bock

From Franconia,  it is the “blonde”  of the monks.  Blond double  malt beer.

Pair it with our Linzertorte.

Bockbier

Red double malt beer, suitable for those who love strong tasty beers.

Match it with grilled meat, boiled wurstel or fleischkase. Goes well also with spiced desserts or chocolate and marmalade cakes.

Kellerbier

Amber-colored beer, with suspended natural yeast. It is still produced following the mid 1800’s recipe when the beers were not filtered once the fermentation process was terminated.

It can be matched with shortbreads, apple strudel and fruit tarts.

Unfiltered, naturally, cloudy, specialty beer those who have  to drive and don’t want to miss out on  a good beer.

Schwarzbier

It is a dark beer, made from pure malted barley with the Pilsner’s method but mildly hopped. The toasted malt gives the beer its amber color and pleasant aroma.
Match it with spiced salami and rye bread, or with grilled or baked meat.

Estrella Damm Daura

Perfectly adapted for celiacs, it is a smooth and tasty beer for who is intolerant at glutens. Approved by Celiac Italian Association it’s a golden glossy-looking beer with  low brewing.  Gluten content less than 6 p.p.m.

Schlenkerla Rauchbier

Märzen beer, bottom-fermented, with dark and clear flavor of smoked. Produced according to the old “German Purity Edict “ ( Reinheitsgebot ) of 1516, which calls for the use of only water, barley malt and hops in producing beer.

Monchshof Original pils

It is the specialty of Kulmbach, city renowned for its breweries.  The “ Pilsner beer” (briefly “pils”) is a clear, crisp and  very hoppy beer. It goes well with cheese, mussels and shellfish, baked fish, lean meat for soup, white meat with delicate sauces.

It has an amber opalescent color due to large amount of wheat malt.
The hints are oriented on the yeast and grains.
Fruity aroma and round taste make it an authentic German style beer.

Marton’s Oyster Stout

It is a top-fermented beer where roasted aromas, which are lightly perceived in the midst of caramelized flavors, find themselves highly dominant in taste, and also linger in the aftertaste.

Red Hook Long Hammer

The generous addition of hops during and after the process of fermentation  (dry-hopping), gives this India Pale Ale its characteristic bitter taste, marked by  a hint of lemon.

Wold Top Bitter

Top-fermented beer, with a light amber color and fresh, slightly bitter, flavor. Despite the low alcohol content,  it presents an intense flavor and a hoppy aftertaste.

Duvel

Duvel beer is considered the champagne of beers. The story has it that this gem was one of the first clear ale beer ever produced.
Duvel in Flemish means “Devil”.

Kona Fire Rock

A “Hawaiian-style” pale ale, sparkling and refreshing. Its distinct copper color is the result of a unique blend of roasted malts.
The pronounced aroma of lemon and floral comes from the hops used in processing it.
